What type of RICE do we grow?
What about the supply chain?
And the numbers?
Is it autentico rice?
Types of rice

Carnaroli rice, simple as nature intended
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”5px”][vc_column_text]
Cultivating Carnaroli rice in keeping with natural processes rooted in tradition is a real challenge. This variety is more delicate and susceptible to diseases than Sant’Andrea rice, so applying a proprietary cultivation method is anything but simple. This is why we took this challenge to heart, trying again and again until we found the best techniques to cultivate it. Carnaroli rice is widely used in cooking and is the ideal variety for risottos that do not overcook and that blend perfectly. Carnaroli Terre Alte Villarboit is the result of years of studies and attempts, to ensure the quality and genuineness of a rice grown with love and care.

Sant’Andrea rice, an ancient tradition
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”5px”][vc_column_text]This variety of rice has a very strong bond with its land of origin: Vercelli. The name, in fact, is linked to the Gothic style abbey by the same name, built between 1219 and 1227, and which today is one of the most important and well-known monuments of the city of Vercelli. Sant’Andrea rice is one of the historic varieties of rice in Italy and particularly in Baraggia, the northern area of the province of Vercelli. The climate and water are colder here than in the southern part, creating the perfect conditions for this rice. An ancient, rustic variety, it is stronger and immune to the diseases that affect many other varieties. The rice grain of S. Andrea has a unique consistency and does not overcook, making it perfect not only for soups but also for risottos.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”12px”]
