Objectives

[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1565097410739{padding-top: 10px !important;}”]We believe that local specialties and the flavors of the earth must be protected through natural processing methods rooted in tradition but which embrace new cultivation techniques. Only in this way can 4.0 farms gain new economic momentum through a conscious management of resources, offering customers an excellent product. We have two objectives: to offer an exceptional and unique product and to recreate traditional and natural cultivation techniques combined with an environmentally-aware use of the most up-to-date technologies. We want this to coincide with the proprietary cultivation method that will further characterize our product. We are attentive to our customers’ needs and willing to customize the processing method of the finished product in order to improve results; thus we are confident in our ability to offer great chefs, high-level restaurants and specialty shops high-quality products that will satisfy even the most selective consumer.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space]

Mulching

[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1565097945101{padding-top: 10px !important;}”]To avoid the use of herbicides and chemical fertilizers, we utilize the living mulch method, an ancient method where various varieties of herbs are sown prior to the rice.

When the herbs have grown, they are cut up in such a way as to form a layer of grass above the ground (that’s why it’s called living mulch).

The benefits of this completely natural technique are manifold. In fact, the layer of grass on the ground inhibits the growth of weeds, and helps to keep the soil moist.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space]

Crop rotation

[vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1565098040052{padding-top: 10px !important;}”]One of the cornerstones of our “cultivation code” is crop rotation.

We have implemented this technique with the aim of improving or maintaining soil fertility and controlling weeds. Thus, we alternate the cultivation of rice with that of other crops. These ancestral techniques, which have been practiced since ancient times, impart authenticity, flavor and uniqueness to the product.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space]
